About Us
A love letter in every piece.
Dear Jobie began during a season when I needed to reconnect with myself.
In the midst of a demanding chapter of life, I found myself longing for stillness, creativity, and a way to make with my hands again. What started as a small curiosity soon became a practice of observation, exploration and joy.
I'm Jobelle, a Filipina artist based in Montreal, Quebec, and the hands and heart behind Dear Jobie.
Through beadwork and metalwork, I create jewelry inspired by the textures, rhythms, and quiet beauty of the natural world. Beading first captured my attention through its remarkable ability to create texture, depth, and sculptural forms. It is also a practice shared across countless cultures, including my own Filipino heritage. As my artistic journey evolved, I became curious about how beads could converse with metal, leading me to explore metalsmithing and new ways of bringing organic forms to life.
I create each piece as I would a love letter—with thought, care, and a desire to express my longing admiration for the beauty in the world. Through my work, I hope to invite others to pause and notice the small details that often go unseen.
Thank you for being here and for supporting this evolving creative journey. I hope you enjoy my work and continue to follow along as Dear Jobie grows.
